Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit released a live video of “Cover Me Up” from their December 14, 2022 concert at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit performed Isbell’s 2013 solo album, Southeastern, during the “Two Very Special Evenings” at the Bijou. This album was reissued on September 29, to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

According to SetlistFM stats, Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up” was the opening song for the band’s 2022 performance in Knoxville. This was the first time since 2014 that the song had been played as the opening song for a show. The performance began with Isbell playing the song solo on his acoustic guitar, before the band joined him for a powerful rendition of this acclaimed singer-songwriter’s most noteworthy track.
