Easy Eye Sound–the Nashville-based label headed by Dan Auerbach and named Billboard’s 2022 Blues Label Of The Year–works to preserve the blues, uplift unsung voices in the genre, and, in the process, build a thriving, multigenerational community.

Today, the label shared Tell Everybody! (21st Century Juke Joint Blues From Easy Eye Sound), a gripping 12-track anthology surveying the current state of the blues. The compilation features masters like North Mississippi’s R.L. Boyce, Bentonia’s Jimmy “Duck” Holmes and the Delta gospel sounds of Leo “Bud” Welch; alongside brilliant youngbloods like Detroit duo Moonrisers, Chicago’s Gabe Carter, and Korean-American Kentucky native Nat Myers.

Daniel Auerbach, a blues rock singer-songwriter and record producer, is best known as the guitarist and vocalist of The Black Keys, a blues duo from Akron, Ohio.

As a group member, Auerbach has recorded and co-produced eleven studio albums with his bandmate Patrick Carney. Auerbach has also released two solo albums and owns the Easy Eye Sound recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as a record label of the same name.

He has produced records by artists such as Cage the Elephant, Dr. John, Lana Del Rey, Ray LaMontagne, CeeLo Green, Hank Williams Jr, and the Pretenders. In addition to winning several Grammy Awards as a member of the Black Keys, Auerbach received the 2013 Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical and was nominated again for the award in 2020, 2021, and 2023.

Featuring exclusive recordings, including a new song by The Black Keys, the lead by Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound Soucaptures a wide-ranging collection of artists brought together by a label that’s earned 16 GRAMMY®-nominations, four Billboard #1 Blues Albums, and widespread acclaim since its founding in 2017.

To celebrate the release, the label threw a Juke Joint Jam album release party earlier this week at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl. The event was headlined by The Black Keys, with the band that created the GRAMMY-nominated Delta Kream album — including Hill Country blues legends Kenny Brown (guitar) and Eric Deaton (bass) — and a special guest performance from Robert Finley with guest drummer Jeffrey Clemens. Additional sets were performed by Tell Everybody! contributors Jimmy “Duck” Holmes and Gabe Carter, joined by the Hill Country’s own Kinney Kimbrough on drums.
