The Secret Sisters have been known for their gorgeous close-harmony Americana and stunning country-soul sound, and their latest album promises to be no different. Produced by The Secret Sisters, John Paul White, and Ben Tanner, the album provides an intimate look into the lives of Laura and Lydia over the last few years.

Reflecting on the project, the sisters shared, “Our fifth chapter is where we seek, savor, and settle.” They added, “Our third decade of life has proven to be one of routine, rest, and realization, and these songs are about the lessons we’ve learned.”

“Paperweight” speaks to the joy of steadiness, the safety that comes with the familiar, and the calm of commitment. The sisters were inspired by discovering a sense of contentment with their lives in the last few years.

The track was produced by The Secret Sisters, John Paul White and Ben Tanner, and recorded mainly at Muscle Shoals’ historic FAME Studios. The album also features Larry Campbell, Zac Cockrell, Jeremy Gibson, Ken Lewis, Parker McAnnally, Austin Motlow, KS Rhoads, and FAME’s Studio Orchestra on “I Needed You.”

The Secret Sisters will perform select headline shows this spring, including stops at Austin’s 04 Center, Dallas’ Kessler Theater, Houston’s Heights Theater, Nashville’s Basement East, Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music, and Minneapolis’ Parkway Theater (two nights) among others.

As fans eagerly await the release of Mind, Man, Medicine, they can enjoy “Paperweight” and two additional album tracks: “Same Water” and “All The Ways” feat. Ray LaMontagne, the latter of which Rolling Stone recently selected as a “Song You Need To Know.”
